About
The story behind The Word Parlour
The Word Parlour exists to help regional people, businesses and communities uncover what makes them different, build stronger connections and communicate with clarity.
Â
The idea grew from a simple observation: The best stories aren't invented. They're uncovered.

Whether it's a business trying to explain what makes it different, a community bringing people together, or a founder searching for the right words, the answer is often already there.

It just takes someone to ask the right questions.
Why I do this
I've always been curious about people.

Not just who they are, but what makes them tick.

Behind every business, organisation and community project is someone who decided something was worth doing.

I'm interested in how they got there, what drives them, what's changing around them, and where they're hoping to go next.

Over the years, my curiosity has taken me from writing radio commercials and speeches to websites, feature stories, government publications and community projects.

One thing hasn't changed. People are often too close to their own story to see it clearly.
But what about you... what's brought you here?
We've talked about The Word Parlour and why I do what I do.

Now I'd love to hear about you.

Everyone arrives here for a different reason.

You might be growing a business, leading a community project, telling a story or simply trying to work out the next step.
Whatever's brought you here, I'd love to hear about it.

Sometimes it just takes a fresh perspective and the right conversation to help things fall into place.

I think it's time we put our heads together and help you move things forward.
